*PLANTING OUR NEW TREE*

On monday, th eday before jake went back to work, we planted a new tree inour front yard. a cottonless cottonwood. stratyn was a big help with the hose and watering it. haha. we sat there and watched him for a while cause he felt so big and important it was just funny.

I didnt get the good pictures cause my batteries died, but i will tell you what this resulted in...

stratyn watering, and watering, watering some more, and it goes on.....

he decied that he needed to get wet o so he put the hose right above his head and soaked himself. after he was dirty and wet anyways, he ran back to the tree and rolled in the mud, LITERALLY!!! it was too great!

We were sitting around one night last week when jake was home just playing around and stratyn wanted to put his new boots on. so we helped him put them on and next thing we knew, he was showing them off and "modeling for jake and i."
i ran and got the camera hoping to get a good shot of this, but it only got better....

~FISHING FOR THE FIRST TIME~

A couple weekends ago, us, shalaine, ronnie, their kids, jason, ashley, and their kids all went campin up at paragonah reservoir.

We went fishing and jake and stratyn caught their first fish together! jake loved it but stratyn said it moved to much and didnt like it lol. jason and ashley caught some also and had to hit it on the head before stratyn would touch it, it was so hilarious!

we all had a blast and went on a four wheeler ride with some other friends that came up that day and ended up wrecking....no one was hurt just all of us had heart-attacks that day. were good!! haha

~HaPpY eAsTeR~

Easter was so much fun this year! Stratyn was old enough to actually hunt for eggs. It was so cute watching him get those expressions on his little face when he would see one and run as fast as his little legs could to try and get it. Jake was helping him this year and i was, of course, following them around with a camera. haha

Lehi, emilee, emerie, and tyken was with us this year also, and emrie had as much fun as stratyn did! Shalaine, Ronnie, and the two kids braylee and waylon also came and spent the weekend with us.

We got there thursday afternoon and had dutch oven for dinner and yummy peach cobbler. jake's brothers lehi and james came out. On friday, shalaine and ronnie came and set up there camping trailor. My dad has this little battery operated razor chopper he got and the thing has no balance i mean you have to have great balance or your on your face in the dirt. haha But me and shalaine tried to ride and boy what a work out it was! she almost wrecked like 500 times and i was on the ground just rolling. My mom also tried to ride it and boy o boy what laughs that got!(sorry mom). then on saturday, we dyed eggs and had a big bbq and dutch oven dinner again it was so good! and then of course, sunday we hunted for eggs that the easter bunny left. stratyn got a new spongebob fishing pole, tackle box, a little candy, some clothes, and a couple stuffed animals. yeah spoiled hehe

What A Ride!

A couple weekends ago, my family went on a four wheeler ride
down the alvey wash and ended going one mile from the utah-arizona border. It started out being a blast! I was riding with jake and he had to do the usual fish-tailing to try an scare me(it worked)lol. But we first stopped at some moqui caves that sat right on the road. stratyn had fun climbing in them and taking pictures, he loved it! It was so cute cause he did not want to leave "his house."
We got going alittle ways and stopped at another moqui house that sat in the side of a cliff, that you could hike to, and ate lunch there.
We were all hyped up to go further and further, so we did. As we made it closer to arizona we were into alot of coal that was seeping up from the ground. By this time the ride was getting uncomfortable and wishing we had kept our mouths shut!
Getting that close to lake powell was quite an excitement which helped keep us going, but not for long. The coal got into our eyes and burned like crazy, but we had to keep going, it was faster to go the rest of the loop than turning back.(unfortunatly)
So we made it 12 miles from big water, and jake decides to roll the four wheeler that he was on, bent the crap out of it lol, but he was okay thank god! we just laugh now.
so to make an already long and boring story short, we headed back, all of us ran out of gas or either coasted to camp cause preston forgot the gas can, and was covered in dirt from head to toe! After all that, stratyn wanted to go more and more! he was crazy! we went 130 miles that day, and going to do it again with a smile on our faces!......YA RIGHT!haha

~MoM...sNoW!~

Today was a very eventful day for stratyn...He created SNOW! or so he thought! I was sitting at the table eating a snack and having my daily chat with my mother, well, all of a sudden i see this puff of white stuff fly EVERYWHERE! startled, i looked under the table to see what had just blew up, when stratyn calmly said, mom snow! laughing hysterically, i looked around at the damage done and after discovering that my window seal, the floor, everything was covered in this "snow!"
Have you ever reached that point in time that you would just like to sit on the floor and just give up? well this was mine! i sat on the floor and just started laughing.
It was then that he came over to me and said," mom theres a mess...yep!" what do you honestly say to that? lol just laugh i guess. so i made him help clean up the "snow" and everyone was happy!

~~Our Experience With Soap~~

So today i decided to rearrange my living room alitle, and i get in this big process and totally, got caught in to what i was doing and left stratyn to himself in his room---BIG OOPS! he got really quite for some reason so i went on the search to find him and low and behold i found him under the cupboard in the bathroom, dont worry there are no cleaning supplies there i keep them locked up, i find him there chugging on this sample of "organic" liquid soap! oh my word! I was trying not to laugh, but it didnt work out. he started to laugh and hick-upped and out came a BUBBLE! haha it was so cool. but he proceeds to tell me eww mom ewww. so needless to say he is okay but everytime he farts.....he smells clean!!!! 8)

ABOUT JAKE: He comes from a large family and grew up mostly on a dairy. His dad is his biggest hero and the largest part of his heart. he likes fishing, loves to go hunting, hiking, camping, anything outdoors he likes. Hes currantly working on the oil rigs near manti and also is enrolled in the army national guard. Jake has served one tour of duty in iraq, and got home in june of 06. He is a wonderfull father and husband and we are blessed to have him in our lives.










MAGEN: i come from asmaller familyand love each and everyone of the nuts that are in it! I grew up herding cows on the desert and get ready for it-in the middle of a trash pile. anyone who knows me will know what i mean.lol but i would never change it for anything. i know more about real world things..i can fend for myself. i love my little family that we have made and feel blessed to have them. Jake has picked me up alot and held me through some hard times. my biggest hero is my dad also, no matter what he is there and he is always holding his head high. i would never make it in this world without my parents. THANKS!!

STRATYN: the strat brat!! He is 19 months old right now and is into everything. its go go go for him. He loves elmo and spongebob squarepants. this kid loves being outside. His favorite ceral is eggo waffles and loves the sweets! Stratyn can say mom, dad, granmpy, garmy, elmo, hott, hat, buck, fish, pizza, eat, no, head, toe, and so so much more! He is already getting potty trained and loves to tell ya when he has to do the number 2! haha.

THE HOLIDAYS!!

We all got spoiled this year, me and jake each got a gun and clothes. I got kitchen things, stratyn got everything in the world almost...It was an awesome christmas. spending it with grampy curt and gramy diane made it even better!
